Steps to achieve believe in yourself

Confidence in yourself is the engine of the authenticity and fulfillment. Your perception may be clouded by doubt and insecurity, but when you choose to believe in you, you open yourself up to a world full of possibilities. That's why, I'll give you seven steps to cultivate that trust and becoming a person that believes in itself.


1. Chooses to believe in yourself(o)

The initial decision is critical. If you don't believe in yourself, no matter how many resources or tools you have at your disposal, the road will be unreachable. Make a conscious decision to believe in you is the essential first step to a genuine change.

So how do you do give it? Making you aware that you are the person who directs your life. Even if you have not done it before, you should recognize that every second you're making decisions, realizing this or not. Even when you do not, you are taking a decision —not to decide.

I suggest to do the following exercise. Look at yourself in the mirror while you say lovingly, “I Choose to believe in me and taking all the necessary steps to become that person I can trust”.

2. Become the person who you can trust

Ask yourself: "What are the people who I trust?".

Make a list of the essential qualities that you must have someone for you to feel that confidence that lead you to open up and give it your best. It is possible to admire the honesty, empathy, or the resilience of certain people. For example, if you value empathy, think about leaders or public figures that have shown in difficult situations. Learn from them, read about his life story and expand your list of qualities necessary to make it as complete as possible.


3. Choose a quality and cultívala

Don't try to tackle it all at once, because you will exceed. Takes a single quality of your list and spend some time to develop it in yourself. This may be the step that you think is more complicated, since you ask: “How do I grow a quality?”. I'll give you some examples:

If you chose to empathy, begins practicing active listening in your daily conversations. To practice this way of listening you need to pay attention to what they have to say the people that surround you, as well as leave of the judge, make assumptions, give advice, or discontinue. Make sure that you have understood what they are saying and that you understand how they feel.

When you choose a quality, check as you are and califícate doing a self test as detailed as you can. If you have a hard time developing any quality, is because you have to let go of other features that prevent you from developing it. 4. Reward yourself

Each little achievement is a step closer to becoming the person you want to be. This is at reward your efforts every time.

Suppose that you have chosen the quality of empathy, and you want to develop for yourself to treat you with more love and sweetness. Your specific task can be to keep a journal in which each day you listen actively by writing in your journal what you need for about five minutes. After, read what you wrote and non-judgemental. In a calendar marks with a symbol —for example, a happy face— all the days that you've done your homework. When joining ten caritas happy, reward yourself by doing something you like.

This practice not only motivate you to continue, but which will strengthen your self-esteem and confidence. Choose something easy to do, and that makes you happy!

5. When you fail, you observe what happened, WITHOUT abuse you

6. Celebrate your progress

Recognize and celebrate your progress is crucial. Make a new self-test and review it with the one you made in step 3, by comparing your “before” and your “now”.

I tend to forget how you were because you see yourself every day! Allow yourself to enjoy your new self; this is the tangible evidence of your progress and determination. Believe in yourself always be your goal.

7. Go back to your list of qualities to develop

The road to self-confidence is constant. Once you feel like you've grown a quality, return to your list and choose next. Personal development is a journey without end, but it is full of rewards.
