Ending the year and starting a new one even better
Every end of the year I get a lot of questions from people concerned because they leave goals without meeting, and feel that, instead of advancing, going in reverse, as his list of dreams not fulfilled continues to grow, making them feel unsuccessful and frustrated. That's why I gave myself the task of share a process of self-exploration very simple. Do it with love for yourself(or), cuestionándote with kindness and following the step by step to discover how this next year will be better than the previous ones.
What are the goals you had at the beginning of the year and what happened to them?
The end of the year is an ideal time to reflect on your goals and see your progress. When you look back, remember what you had proposed at the beginning of the year and what happened to them. Not only is this list successes and failures, but rather to understand the reasons behind each outcome. Ask yourself: “What did I do well (to repeat) and what can I do better?; why I could not achieve what you wanted?; how I felt with this goal?; why I could not start this one?".
Make this self-analysis will help to know you and identify what happened with the goals you achieved and which you do not. When doing this exercise, try to take your responsibility; most things that have happened on your outside, normally, there are factors that were your responsibility and influenced the outcome. It is important that you recognize the achievement, but also you assume your responsibility to not do so.
What did you learn? What are the lessons that you got?
Taking responsibility is not just on the negative, it is also important to recognize and appreciate the learnings and achievements that you got. To celebrate this progress is important to motivate yourself to continue building goals. Can be achievements, small or large, therefore all progress is significant, mainly, if it was one of the goals that you put at the beginning of the year. This is important to you.
What you missed? What you missed to learn?
It is also crucial that you recognize and understand why you don't make certain goals. This step is not to punish, but rather to learn what happened to the objectives that do not successfully achieve. “What were unrealistic expectations?; how shortage of resources or skills?; was there resistance and inner fears?; what I failed?; what I need to learn to achieve my goal?; how could I learn it?". Understanding these aspects will prepare you to plan better and to cultivate the qualities, capabilities and resources necessary to overcome the challenges of the future.
Example
Among the goals of Manuel were to learn to dance and to adopt a routine of fitness. At the end of the year, learned to dance, but he left the gym the second month. Did a self-analysis and both goals had many points in common: they made the plan; enrolled in both activities, he began to go, and had the time and, supposedly, motivation for the two. But looking more deeply, we realized that likes a lot of physical activities in the company. In the dance class, I chatted with all the people, but in the gym, not so much. Thanks to this discovery, it has now been realized that if you enroll in a class sociable in the gym is more likely to achieve that goal the following year. In addition to celebrating who fulfilled his goal of learning how to dance, just do these exercises to feel more motivated, because you now know what changes to make in order to achieve the other goal.

Create your new goals
What is important to you now?
Once you have performed the above process, you're ready(or) to set your course. When you establish new goals, consider your growth and the changes they have experienced. Ask yourself what is important to you now, who you are and what you want at this moment. Make sure that your new goals reflect this and are aligned with who you are now. Then, ask yourself which of this year, you want to keep. Make a cleaning considering who you are and what it is that interests you in the present. Be honest(o); if you have not applied in doing something, it may be that the effort is not worthwhile, or that has fears and resistors that you need to transform before you can achieve it.
Consider what you have to learn. Make concrete commitments to acquire the resources that you are missing. These new actions could be part of your goals for the new year. I suggest you be kind to yourself(or) creating goals possible, without that lead you to make an effort that exceeds your ability. A good option is to have the creativity to create intermediate steps: actions that lead you to improve yourself, to be possible, and that will motivate you. If your personality leads you to isolate yourself and to be in front of the tv —or any device with a screen, when what you need and want is to be more social and get in shape, you could integrate into your routine is a social activity that involves movement; joining a club sports such as cycling, hiking or dance classes, as did Manuel. This way you manage to do exercise without the resistance that you could generate to go to a gym.

Choose the commitments that you'd assume
You are the one who directs your life, and that's why you get to pick where you go. Acknowledge what you already have on your plate, those commitments that take up time and energy. It is better to commit yourself to what you can and want to do instead of having a long list of goals. Also I recommend that you do it with priority and without trying to start with everything at once. If you're integrating the changes little by little, you will become more accustomed to, and soon they will become habits that will bring out the natural way.
